More and more devices are getting ported Android 4.1 Jelly Bean daily but still the OTA updates are not available for the devices, which doesn’t stops developers to port Android 4.1 to the compatible devices. Now Samsung Galaxy S also get’s Jelly Bean which was ported from Nexus 7 by XDA Developer “mkalter”. Currently it is in Beta phase and the latest version is V6, as there is more development needs to be done on this ROM. Few things that are working now are :
- Internal/External SD
- HW Video Acc
- Data 2G/3G
- Google Now
- Google Ears
Whereas, Tethering and Mounting external SD on PC are not working right now. Alright let’s Install Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S,

- Reboot the phone in Recovery mode, by pressing Home + Power button together (when your phone is switched off)
- After you are into recovery wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and go into “Advanced” and wipe the Dalvik cache.
- Now Flash the ROM, by selecting “Install zip from SD card”
- After flashing you again need to wipe all the cache (follow the step 2
